Do I do weddings?
Well, currently I'm not offering wedding photography.
Love them and want too, but right now I shoot everything but weddings.

So I still want to help you amazing couples.
So I have emailed this list of great information for about 7 months and figured it was time to put it all out there.

**** To all mentioned in the list below ****
If you would like your name removed or corrected just let me know by emailing me at bblascak@gmail.com
and I apologize in advance.

FIRST A LITTLE PLUG FOR ME:
These are my packages
(Includes Save the Date, Engagement, Bridals, Seniors, Just Because, Families, Events and more!):

 MY 2 CENTS!
Completely just my opinion. Here goes!
First and foremost!!!...after the wedding is done and the guest go home and you start your life together as
Mr. & Mrs., you have each other which is the most important part, but the next is how you guys remember this
amazing and blessed day. And the only way to do that is with great memories and killer photography!
Please make sure you are comfortable and completely happy with whoever you choose.
Don't skimp on this very important life decision.
These emotion grabbing images are forever and they should be just as gorgeous as you are!
OK I'm done...I could go on and on about this...but you get the message.

Some wedding photographer's offer engagement or bridal portraits into their packages. This might be
more expensive and it might not. So the first thing I would do is take a look at some wedding photographer's around the area that you like. Then figure out what you want in your package and what you budget is like.

Come up with a list of questions for them if they do not have the answers on their site.

Some Questions to Consider
What does your package include?
Please consider a first look? (http://katelynjamesblog.com/why-do-a-first-look/)
Engagement/Bridal Session (this is a good way of seeing how they shoot and their personality)?
Any prints/canvases or albums included?
Do you have a second shooter or assistant?
What happens if you are sick the day of my wedding?
If the wedding goes over how much do you charge, what is your policy?
What kind of equipment do you use?

Here is a list of some of my favorites Wedding photogs!

What a treat it was to spend the evening with this wonderful group. We enjoyed reviewing May's Alice in Wonderland class, a superb dramatization of Alice in Wonderland, by Joe Dellinger. The event continued with Carmen Alvez teaching us about the "Art" of tea. While enjoying our treats, by Baked in Williamsburg and tea we reviewed the client's homework, "Nonsensical Poems or Pictures: Share Alice in Wonderland Surrealist Collages". Thank you, The Arc of Great Williamsburg, for letting me be a part of this super fun night!

What an amazing sight! Four generations of stunningly beautiful women! Dorothy celebrates 97 years in this blessed world. I won't go into the rest of the ladies ages (I'm sure they appreciate that), but they are somewhere in between, Dorthy, 97yrs and adorable Berlin, 3 months. Thank you Cindy for asking me to come and celebrate this awesome gathering!

Getting wet and wild in Viriginia Beach on Saturday with the Francis family! It's never really been about the exact right lighting or perfect sharp photo for me...it's about the raw emotion of seeing Kate play in the sand for the first time and Claire chasing the birds. It is about capturing the moments that make these wonderful people a family. The share just a pure and strong love for each other. And that is what I want to share with them and with you. Thank you Cristina and Jeff! I love you all very much!

WOW!!! I have never seen a more beautiful rising senior! Brooke has a way of changing her facial exressions on a dime and it's completely natural. I had the biggest smile on my face while going through these. Love this girl! She is just a simple beauty and a drop dead gorgeous person inside and out.

I met Tammy while working for Colonial Williamsburg. We hit it off as soon as we met. She is an amazing illustrator, graphic designer, wife and mother! Sadron completes Tammy so well and you can see how much he loves his wife and boys. I was so honored when she let me know that they would be booking a session with me!!! It's like waking up on Christmas day...get so excited and nervous at the same time. We scouted some new locations around Williamsburg and Newport News and decided to meet at Huntington Park. The boys really wanted to see the train. So we stopped at all the great locations on the way to the train inside Huntington Park. They have the Rose Garden, Military and Weapons Museum, the Chesapeake and Ohio Historic Train, and then it was off to the AWESOME Fort Fun Playground! We didn't even get to the beach...next time ya'll. Thank you for such a fun session and hope you enjoy.

So it's 85 degrees, 10 am, and it's my first wedding! It's was also Steven and Crystal's first wedding…already we had so much in common. haha I met Crystal a while ago at my friend, Mike's, 30th birthday party and would never had guessed later down the road, I would be her photographer on her beautiful wedding day, but here I was living my dream! I was recommended through one of our best couple friends, Emily and Mike. It is such a small and funny world. It's the best feeling to become friends with your clients. Crystal put her trust in me and gave me a chance. I couldn't have been more happy that she did! It's wonderful people like Steven and Crystal that make life so special. They were patient and kind through the entire process. I am so grateful to them. I will carry this day with me forever, Thank you Steven and Crystal for such an amazing experience and memory.

I also had a wonderful mentor, Jodi Barder, owner of Capture This Moment Photografie with me during the day. She is a God send. Again other great friend introduced us and I owe her so much for teaching and sharing with me all the tips and tricks of the trade. She is a wonderful mentor and I thank God for her everyday. She helped me through the day and was there every time I had questions or concerns. She helped me bring my "A" game. Thank you J!!!

I arrive at Kiln Creek Country Club, to find the Pavilion being set up, by their wonderful event team, Kyle Oakes and Kaitlyn Inge. The decor and flower arrangements were beautiful and set up an hour before the ceremony by Jeff's Flowers in Hampton. Jeff's Flowers also helped with lattice backdrop, the flowers attached to it and the two large live rose arrangements. Event Central assisted with the chairs, live bouquets, bouts, corsages, and silk altar arrangement and the outstanding cake! YUMMY. Event Central was also our choice pick for my wedding. Love them! Steven and Crystal also had one amazing photo booth! It was my first time seeing one of these at a wedding. All the guests loved it. Valentine Photobooth, provided all these great props for all the guests to use while celebrating the wedding in the photobooth. What a great idea for any wedding or event!

Kiln Creek is a beautiful, private little community inside Newport News. Gorgeous homes, awesome restaurants, and a peaceful country club with a 18 hole championship golf course.

As soon as I saw Crystal, she was full of smiles and beauty. She was surrounded by her loving mom, Terri; her amazing wedding planner, Aunt Debbie; Sam, her sweet sister, and Heather, her best friend and Maid of Honor. What a team! I started with her dress, all the details of her jewelry and the ceremony site. It was so EXCITING!  I checked in with the Steven and his brothers…they were cracking up over getting dressed and how many photos I was taking. :) What two great families. I just kept thinking that the whole day. It was so evident that this pair was meant to be joined as one.

I enjoyed so much of capturing this glorious day. Not one hiccup…it was completely perfect. Steven and Crystal had their first kiss, dance, and cake together as husband and wife and it was amazing! I know you both will follow in your parent's footsteps by having a long, wonderful, happy and blessed marriage! I can see you two at 78 years old dancing the same way I saw you dance on your wedding day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Robinson!!!

I have not learned how to just stop at 30 images when I am processing my session. It's gotten harder and harder. So I had to post a blog to show you the rest of the "sneak peeks" from today's session. Meet the Bowers, the other Bowers...no the other other Bowers!
So my best friend, Kennon, introduced me to Helen and Ben (they are below this post). They introduced me to their family, the Jhuns and the Bowers and the Merrells. I have had the pleasure of photographing all of them in the last couple of months. Today, I had the honor of meeting up with Dan (Ben's bro) and his beautiful wife, Jill, and their daughter, Lillian. We have been planning this session for months now. Last time we tried to get together it rained and so we rescheduled. Well yep...there was rain in the forecast today as well...but we were not going to let that stop us. After many texts back and forth with Jill we decided to wing it. We found this great little spot in Hampton...shhh, it's a secret. And WHAT A SPOT! It was like a little piece of heaven.
A little bit about this great family. They are both wonderful parents, loving friends, supportive family members. Jill is super creative, smart, and very charming. Her smile is contagious. This is my first time meeting Dan, but he cracked me up today. A very reserved guy, but I could tell he had a little goofy inside him and he let it out just enough to help me get miss Lillian to smile and giggle for us. Thank you Dan and thank you Jill and Lillian for such a wonderful time today.
Hope these make you smile, like they do for me.

Hope you enjoy these wonderful photos of some of my best friends. I am so happy for this amazing couple! She is my sister from another mother. haha I love them both so much.
